Before you start

  • The type of business Car and motorbike parts in Settings › Store.
  1. References

On the product page, References: your reference (also the key for imports), the origin (OEM) reference and the other brands’ equivalents (« Bosch 0986494, TRW GDB1937 »).

The customer finds the part by typing any of them, with or without spaces or dashes: « 0986-494 » finds « 0986494 ».

  2. Compatible vehicles

In Compatibility, add each vehicle: make, model, years, engine (or « All »). Paste a list accepts lines like « Renault Clio IV 2012-2019 1.5 dCi »; Copy from another product reuses the list of a part that fits the same vehicles.

The list of makes and models is the same for every store, kept by laghazel. A model is missing? Write to us.

  3. Search by vehicle on your store

The Garage, Mécano and Moto templates put the « Make › Model › Year › Engine » search in the window. On another template, add the Search by vehicle section in Store page.

The customer picks their vehicle once: the store remembers it, shows only the compatible parts and says on each page « Fits your vehicle ».

A part with no vehicle filled in stays visible to everyone, with no promise of fit.

  4. Import from Excel

    In Catalog › Import (Excel):

    • File: your Excel file (.xlsx), a CSV, or a copy-paste from Excel.
    • Columns: for each column of the file, its laghazel field (name, reference, origin reference, brand, price, stock, category…) or « Don’t import ».
    • Check: laghazel counts the new products, the updated ones and the lines to fix, without saving anything.
    • Import: the products are created or updated.

A line whose reference already exists updates that product (price, stock, references): it never creates a duplicate.

  5. Price on request and price requests

A part on Price on request shows no price: the customer clicks Ask for a price. They can also send a photo of the part or of their registration card from « Can’t find it? ».

Requests arrive in Price requests. Pick the catalog product (or type its name), the price and the availability, then Send the price: the customer gets an SMS (if you have an SMS provider) or you send them the link on WhatsApp.

The link opens an order already filled in at your price, valid for 7 days: the customer only has to confirm.

  6. Store pickup and exchanges

Many customers prefer to come and get the part: turn on store pickup. And state your exchange terms clearly (« part not fitted, in its packaging ») with Exchanges and returns.
