Connect Vonage to send your SMS
With a Vonage account, your SMS are sent using your own credit. You paste the API key and secret into laghazel, and that’s it.
Before you start
- An email address and a phone number to open the account.
- A bank card, a PayPal account or a bank transfer to add credit.
Create your Vonage account
Sign up on vonage.com, fill in your company details and confirm your phone with the code you receive.
Add credit
A new account is in demo mode: only a few test numbers, with a demo notice in every SMS. Adding credit in Billing & payments (the menu under your name) switches it to a normal account.
Get the API key and secret
Menu under your name › Settings › API settings: the API key is shown. The API secret is only shown when it is created: if you no longer have it, create a new one on the same page (two secrets can exist at the same time).
Choose your sender name
11 characters at most, for example your store’s name. For Algeria, Vonage accepts names (not numbers on Mobilis and Ooredoo) and rejects generic names such as INFO or SMS.
Paste your keys into laghazel
In Intégrations › SMS (Integrations › SMS), choose the provider, fill in the fields, then click Vérifier et activer (Verify and activate). laghazel checks the account without sending anything; you are asked for your laghazel password. Then send yourself a SMS de test (Test SMS).
Never share your keys by message or by email, not even with laghazel. Paste them only into your dashboard.
