Connect Infobip to send your SMS

Infobip needs three things: your account’s base URL, an API key and your sender name.

Before you start

  • An email address and a phone number that can receive SMS.
  • A bank card or a PayPal account (payment in euros or US dollars, €5 minimum).
  • Time: in Algeria, the sender name takes 20 days or more to be approved.
  1. Create your Infobip account

Sign up on infobip.com, confirm your email and phone, then fill in your company details. The free trial only sends to a few verified numbers.

  2. Add credit

Use the Add funds button (at the top of the screen or in your profile menu).

  3. Find your base URL

It looks like xxxxx.api.infobip.com and is unique to your account. While signed in, open Infobip’s API documentation: it is shown there.

  4. Create an API key

Developer Tools › API Keys › Create API key. Give it the sms:message:send permission: that’s all laghazel needs. Copy the key right away, Infobip won’t show it again.

  5. Get your sender name approved

Channels and Numbers › Channels › SMS › Request sender. For Algeria, Infobip asks for a sample message and a letter of authorization (« Algeria – Letter of Authorization »); approval by the operators takes 20 days or more.

  6. Paste your keys into laghazel

In Intégrations › SMS (Integrations › SMS), choose the provider, fill in the fields, then click Vérifier et activer (Verify and activate). laghazel checks the account without sending anything; you are asked for your laghazel password. Then send yourself a SMS de test (Test SMS).

Never share your keys by message or by email, not even with laghazel. Paste them only into your dashboard.
