Exchanges and returns: your rule, product by product
A clear rule reassures before the purchase and avoids arguments after. Set it once for the store, adapt it for some products, and follow each exchange on the order.
The store’s rule
- What you accept: exchange only, or exchange or refund.
- The period: 3, 7, 15 or 30 days, from the date of receipt.
- The conditions shown to the customer: part not fitted, original packaging, with the order sheet, unopened, unworn…
- How it comes back: to the store, by the delivery company at the customer’s cost, or both.
- Never taken back: the categories always excluded (electrical parts, underwear…).
Product by product
On the product page, the Exchanges and returns card offers: The store’s rule, Custom (30 days for a battery, for example) or No returns, shown clearly to the customer.
On the product page, the customer sees the « Exchange or return 7 days » badge and the conditions.
On the order
Once the order is delivered or picked up, its page shows the date of receipt, the deadline and the days left. The date comes from the « Delivered » status or the store pickup.
Pick the items, the reason, then Record an exchange or Refund. Tick restocking if the part goes back on sale. It goes into the order’s history.
laghazel moves no money: the refund is between you and the customer.
After the deadline, you can still accept an exchange: the page only warns you.
